Belluno Italy Cycling Vacation

Trev first experienced the Belluno region of Italy at the end of a 7 day stage race. He got a sense of beauty, history, and grandeur while descending the San Boldo pass. He swore to Marie that he'd take her back so they could both enjoy the area on their own time. In 2024, Marie and Trev spent 5 days targetting the Belluno area and determining whether hosting a vacation that included cycling could work. They were extremely pleased with what they found. They now want to show it to you!

Like most of our Doctrine Vacations, we focus on the region first and love to include the bike to be able to experience it while enjoying our favourite hobby. Our vacations aren't 'training', there will be no 'long days in the saddle'. There is simply too much else to enjoy!

Our theme for this vacation is "Embrace the History and Culture"

Join us this summer June 6 - 13 2025.

June 6th Departure from Calgary flying to Venice through one stop in Toronto.
June 7th An extremely short transfer to Belluno which is 1 hour North of Venice.
June 7th - June 11th Enjoying the region by bike, foot, and food!
June 12th We'll transfer to Venice to spend a day exploring the Ancient City!
June 13th Arrival back in Calgary after we get you to the Venice ariport, or you have the option to stay and continue exploring!

This vacation will be $5,500 CDN + GST.

This is based on double occupancy. Single occupancy is an option, however, we will have to determine the cost.

  • Everything Will Be Taken Care Of...

    Let us do the planning so you can do the enjoying. Rides, all meals, airport transfers, upkeep of your bike while there, coaching, guiding, experienced awesome support, local street cred, sooo many photo ops, drone footage, friends that love to do what you do!

  • Recommended Ability and Equipment:

    The Doctrine holds several cycling vacation that have NO ability criteria other than the ability to ride safely. This vacation requires slightly increased level of technique and skill due to the nature of the European roadways (twisty turny!). We will also stipulate at a minimum a fairly recent road bike with the ability to mount 30mm or wider tires.

The Experience

Here is what we are proud to have developed.
Our newest vacation is based out of the roads surrounding a region we've fallen in love with in Italy called Belluno. It is close the the Proseco and Grappa areas as well as the famous ski villas of Cortina and Corvara. There are a lot of wonderful things to enjoy in Italy, so while we'll certainly be exploring the region by bike, we won't be spending on day on two wheels. We'll strike a great balance between exploring, relaxing, eating, and learning the culture and history. We'll have rides for most abilities, however, we would classify this as an intermediate level vacation. We don't take cyclists anywhere 'ordinary'..
